RPA course created by 2 Romanian companies for the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași

Aliant, one of the leading IT integrators and IT service management providers, and Tailent, the Romanian technology company known for democratizing access to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, have entered into a partnership with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEAA) from the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași.

The two startups will create an RPA course for students.

Through this approach, the university aims to better prepare students for the jobs of the future and thus provide solid support to Romanian companies operating in the automation sector, given that the RPA industry has accelerated in recent years globally, and Romania is becoming an important global provider of solutions based on this technology.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEAA - UAIC), the two companies create a Center of Excellence (EC) and an RPA course based on Tailent technologies, accessible to all interested students.

The Center of Excellence has three roles: the creation of an Educational Center for the training of future specialists in automation, a Competence Center with the potential to support Romanian and international companies, including internship programs, and a Research and Development Center dedicated to collaboration with FEAA experts in the field of business process automation and optimization .

“The objective of this initiative is to position the FEAA one step ahead when it comes to these technologies, through practical implementations, research articles and changes in the academic offer so as to better prepare graduates for a career in this field. This is a very important part of our strategy to ally with Romanian companies with progressive vision and startups that have developed globally. We must offer strong examples to our students and support the economy to make the transition from outsourcing to software development ", says professor Mircea Georgescu, univ. Prof. dr., who will coordinate the Tailent RPA Center of Excellence.

Aliant and Tailent announced in January 2021 an alliance whose main goal is to bring state-of-the-art RPA automation technologies closer to small and medium-sized companies that want to transform their business.

The RPA Center of Excellence is based on a dedicated team of professors, students and technology experts who support several functional areas within the academic institution. The main role of the Center of Excellence is to prepare future automation experts so as to add value to companies by supporting employees in eliminating routine activities.
“I met at FEAA a great openness to technology and I think that the faculty is the ideal place for a Center of Excellence in RPA, because it perfectly combines knowledge about business administration and economic theories with how it works in the real world. There is a huge value in bringing the academic environment closer to the business environment. Aliant is committed to contributing to the exploitation of this value by providing relevant knowledge, skills development and the use of state-of-the-art automation technology from Tailent, ”said Bogdan Ciubotaru, Partner and Chief Commercial Officer at Aliant.

The collaboration is also part of Tailent's strategy to democratize access to RPA technology globally and to support the Romanian economy and IT environment to evolve and better adapt to a "robotic" future. This evolution is absolutely necessary in the context in which Romania is already recognized as a very important global provider of automation solutions.

"We support education and we want to contribute to the creation of an ecosystem of innovation and collaboration consisting of key players in the economy. Technology, academic and business companies must collaborate for a better future, both in Romania and globally, according to the principle of "think global, local act". Higher education in Romania is aligned with the international standards of major academic centers for Research, Development and Innovation. In addition, the creation of Academic Centers of Excellence is an important step in our mission to democratize access to RPA technology, so that more and more companies can use software robots to increase productivity and competitiveness, "said Mario Popescu, CEO Tailent.

Students who complete the required courses obtain a Tailent Academic Specialization and will receive a digital badge that they will be able to use online to indicate their specialization. In addition, companies can hire interns, trained in process automation technologies, and they can put their knowledge into practice, quickly adding value to their employers.

Tailent is currently in a process of expansion, both locally and internationally, by entering into new partnerships and entering strategic markets, RPA being an industry that has accelerated strongly in recent years, globally, over time. why Romania has become an important global provider of automation solutions.

The company recently signed agreements with two solution providers: Winsig, a Portuguese company with an extensive customer base in Europe, Africa and South America, and Wolters Kluwer, which operates in tightly regulated industries.
